You can only have one active application at a time. Do not submit more than one application. To make any changes to your submitted application, contact admissions@bcit.ca.

Before you start your application:

1. Choose your program
   Select up to two program choices within a single application. Your first choice should be your preferred program, a competitive entry program, or a flexible learning declaration program. Your second choice is not automatically assessed. You may submit a request to Admissions if you are not eligible for your first choice, subject to availability.

2. Review entrance requirements
   Before you apply, confirm you meet the minimum entrance requirements outlined on your program’s webpage. Requirements vary by program and may include:

   • English Language Proficiency requirements and other secondary-level courses
   • Post-secondary/Undergraduate-level courses or completed credentials (prerequisite for most degrees, advanced diplomas, advanced certificates)
   • Minimum grades and/or averages (based on the midterm or final grade requirement)
   • Applicant questionnaires or pre-entry assessments
   • Assessments, work experience, certifications, or licenses

3. Confirm program availability
   Check that your program is accepting applications for your intended start term and review any applicable deadlines.

4. Prepare required admission documents
   Have PDF copies of all required documents ready for upload (e.g., transcripts, BC Diploma Verification Report, English Language Proficiency assessment results).

   Your application will remain incomplete until documents showing how you meet the admission requirements are received by the deadline. BCIT will provide instructions for uploading any missing or incomplete documents after you submit your application.

5. Review and Submit
   Pay the non-refundable application fee ($90 Domestic/$154 International). BCIT will contact you within 5 business days with next steps.
